Congratulations to Ian Kent, Curtis Caron, Mikhail Drozdowski and Steve Dunn on their participation at the 2016 Para Canadian Championships in Drummondville, Quebec.
Ian and Curtis won gold in the Standing Men’s Team event.
In the U23, Curtis brought home gold and Mikhail Drozdowski’s performance was rewarded with the bronze in the event as well – way to go Curtis and Mike!
Steve Dunn won silver in the wheelchair team event, partnering with Ontario’s Barry Butler.
Ian Kent’s golden streak didn’t stop at the Men’s team event; Ian was crowned Men’s Singles Champion by defeating Masoud Majtahed from Ontario in the final.
Curtis Caron got the bronze medal in the Men’s Singles event.
All the hard work paid off by the end of the tournament. In the words of Ian ” I was the only standing player who was undefeated; a feat I am very proud of as I had not competed since the 2015 Parapan American Games in Toronto.”
Congratulations again gentlemen for a magnificent showing of your skills, determination and great sportsmanship at the championships.
